Three dinners, one wine tasting, one breakfast, two tours (plus an optional one), one fabulous speaker from Tewa Women United, our Annual Meeting, a photo scavenger hunt for the spouses and guests, and an absolutely hopping Saturday evening complete with a Route 66 photo booth and a woman DJ…what a great Getaway! In addition to the six virtual Annual Meeting attendees, 57 in-person members and guests gathered, caught up, feasted, toured, did business and celebrated.
Through the generosity of our live and silent auction participants and donors, we raised over $25,000. THANK YOU ALL! Be assured that we will work to be good stewards and appreciate your trust in the FAUSA board and teams.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this such a successful weekend, especially to the Getaway events team of Rick Chizmadia, Linda Harvan, Marilee Watts with Santa Fe help from Wendy Russell and Pat Lawrence for putting this fun and interesting weekend together, and to Louise Greeley-Copley for a very special optional tour of her aunt and uncle’s adobe home and artists’ studio. Rick Chizmadia wowed us yet again with new FAUSA videos…get ready to be inspired:
- the fast version of the 2022 FAUSA video
- the slow version of the 2022 FAUSA video
- the Getaway weekend
Special thanks to IT whizzes Steve Limbaugh, Sean Padfield and Tripp Brinkley for their help with trying to get the hotel’s sluggish wifi connection functioning for our virtual attendees. And to Eric Janson for the photo scavenger hunt he put together for spouses and guests on Saturday morning while members attended the Annual Meeting…a fun morning for the guys!
We were fortunate to have several sponsors for parts of the Getaway and Annual Meeting. Once again Janet Darrow underwrote part of the AV expenses…thank you Janet! This expense increases every year, and we are always grateful for Janet’s support, in this and so many other ways. Thank you as well to the partial anonymous sponsors of Friday’s Gruet wine tasting evening. Through these specific donations, the expense for the weekend was reduced for all participants, in person and virtual.
