FAUSA Virtual Road Trip 2024

January 23, 2023 by FAUSA Webmaster

What is the FAUSA Road Trip?

The FAUSA Road Trip is a virtual journey with your fellow FAUSA and FAWCO members. In 2024 we will be traveling through Mexico, from Tijuana to Tulum and stopping in all sorts of places in between.

How does it work?

Walk, run, swim, cycle, row, or whatever. You can enter your distances directly into your mission page or via your phone app.  Your mileage will be added to the mileage of your team members. You will be able to see all the teams progress along the route.

Who can join?

Anyone who is a current member of FAUSA or a FAWCO Club, or a spouse of a current member, and wants to make their workouts count. The distance you log for each workout will help to move you or your team along the route.  It’s great motivation to get out and exercise each day.

When?

The journey begins March 11th . Each participant will be assigned to a team of fellow FAUSA members, because this distance is too great for any one person to complete in the time provided. Teams will have 9 months to complete the journey.

Where?

You can work out anywhere you like. At home, at the gym, with a friend or partner. You can include your spouse in the Road Trip as well.

Why?

Lots of reasons!

  • The best reason is the motivation to get out and exercise. Tracking your progress is fun.
  • It’s also a great way to learn about new places without leaving home.
  • And lastly, it’s another way to connect virtually with your fellow FAUSA members.

How to join:

Register using this form:  https://forms.gle/1TfWAh8dkjUANXSC9

Make a $25 payment to FAUSA to cover the cost of the virtual mission. The money will be used for prizes for both team and individual results. Once you have paid the entry fee, instructions on how to join the Virtual Mission will be sent to you.

Ways to pay:

  • By Cash transfer from your bank using Zelle to treasurer@fausa.org
  • By Credit Card at https://fausa.org/philanthropy/donate/.
Please write FAUSA ROAD TRIP in the message box.

If your spouse/partner wants to participate as well, then please provide their contact information and make a further $25 donation, or $50 total.

Once I have received this information and confirmation of your payment, you will be sent the link to the Virtual Mission page to join. To learn more about how a Virtual Mission works go to https://www.myvirtualmission.com/.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to your participation.
