Quilt History
Throughout the 20-year history of FAUSA there have been many initiatives which are now ‘mainstays’ to the FAUSA experience, notably the FAUSA Quilt crafted by our talented members! Since 2002, a quilt has been donated and raffled at the Annual Meeting and Getaway with these funds contributing to the philanthropic efforts of FAUSA: the FAUSA Annual Grant, sponsoring The FAWCO Foundation Development Grant and Education Award as well as other charitable donations through the years. We have the following ladies to thank for their creativity and ‘passion for quilting’ for providing this unique fundraising opportunity: Linda Sampson (2002-2005), Kay Miller (2006-2015), Kathy Coughlan (2016 and 2021), Nan de Laubadere (2017), Kay Miller & Leslie Nelson (2018), and Suzanne Wheeler (2019). Our 2020 quilt was a generous donation by Jane Indreland who had won the 2004 FAWCO Friendship Quilt (made by Roberta Zollner).
