LUNAFEST® is back! This amazing annual film festival celebrates women filmmakers and gives their short films a national platform, while raising money for non-profits supporting women. This year’s films, running a total of 80 minutes, are a mix of narrative, animation and documentary films. They reflect a variety of perspectives, challenge our perceptions, spark conversations, strengthen connections, and inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. Recommended viewing age is 13+. If you missed last year’s LUNAFEST, you have probably heard how much fun it was. The festival presents a great opportunity to view unique films not available elsewhere, support and celebrate women in film and help raise funds for a worthy cause all at the same time.
FAUSA’s LUNAFEST 2022 will begin at 1:00 pm U.S. Eastern time (7:00 pm CET) on April 8, with 48 hours to activate your ticket (until 1:00 pm EST on April 10) and 48 hours to view the films after activation. Ticketholders will be invited to Zoom calls on April 10 at noon EST (6:00 pm CET) and 7:00 pm EST, for film discussions.
Although the next FAWCO Target Project will not be announced until 2023, FAUSA LUNAFEST 2022 will raise funds in advance for the selected project. Tickets will again be $20 for FAUSA/FAWCO members (member price will show when you click “buy tickets”) and $25 for non-members (with a small fee added to each ticket.) Remember you can also gift tickets to family and friends.
