While 2020 was a historic year from so many perspectives, October 3, 2020 was a day FAUSA can cheer about!! Our first virtual Annual Meeting held on the Zoom platform was followed by the Silent and Live Auctions held on OneCause, another first! We welcomed the most number of participants in our 20-year history! We surely missed meeting in person, but the virtual platforms allowed us the convenience and luxury of participating without the expense of travel. We had participation from FAWCO members living abroad as well as FAUSA members across all US time zones.
A record amount of funds for FAUSA’s philanthropic causes was raised by adding an Auction of Talents to the Silent Auction, a vintage quilt was ‘regifted’ for our Quilt Raffle, and the ‘R(a)ise Up for 2020’ donation challenge led by the Lalanis set another record!
We are forever grateful to all who participated and donated so generously for this inaugural event! We don’t know when we can meet in person again, but be assured FAUSA is committed to making a difference ‘together.’
