We are delighted to share highlights from the recent FAWCO Biennial Conference held in Annapolis, Maryland. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to FAUSA co-chairs, Liz Janson and Rick Chizmadia, whose seamless collaboration ensured a conference filled with enlightening speakers and engaging entertainment. Special thanks also to FAUSA member Cathy Farnan for showcasing the charm and history of her city, Annapolis, to the attendees.
FAUSA had an impressive turnout with a record-breaking 40 members in attendance, not including our 19 supportive partners! Wednesday night FAUSA hosted a delightful evening featuring a buffet and drinks, where the passed crab cakes emerged as a crowd favorite. A highlight of the evening was FAWCO President Ann Marie Morrow presenting the FAUSA board with a beautiful cake to commence the celebration of FAUSA’s 25th Anniversary.
Friday evening featured The FAWCO Foundation's themed event, "Sea Beyond … A Nautical Night." Attendees embraced the nautical theme with creative attire, and awards were presented to the top three best-dressed participants. The evening's highlight was the live auction, expertly conducted by FAUSA member Murray Frick, contributing to a successful and enjoyable fundraising event. In a heartfelt gesture, the FAUSA board sponsored the dinners of Ginny and Pat Treanor in memory of Judy Treanor, honoring her legacy and contributions.
A very big thank you to so many FAUSA members who helped to make this event a success.
