I am excited to report that once again, FAUSA received our maximum number of Development Grants at the FAWCO Interim Meeting in Porto, Portugal. Both grants were in the area of Education:
- The recipient for Hope for Education DG ($4,000), sponsored by Michele Hendrikse DuBois (FAUSA) in memory of her parents Joan and Denis DuBois, was Tewa Women United: A’Gin Healthy Sexuality and Body Sovereignty - Braided Curriculum Project in Española, New Mexico USA and nominated by FAUSA by Liz Janson.
- The recipient for Educating Women & Girls Worldwide ($4,000), sponsored by Renuka Matthews (FAUSA), was Kiwimbi Prep for Success in Busia, Kenya and nominated by FAUSA by Stephanie Biery.
Other FAUSA related grants and awards included:
- The recipient of the FAUSA Skills Enhancement Award was awarded to AAWE Paris member Deborah Lillian.
- The recipient club of the Coughlan Family Education Grant ($4000) was received by AWC-Hamburg from Stop the Shop: Help Teenagers Embrace Sustainable Fashion.
